The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Turley was present. Commissioner Pancratz will not be in today.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the agenda for the day after a few minor changes. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve July 31, 2026 minutes as written. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There was no public comment.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to table signing Resolution 2026-21 Donating Land to the American Legion. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to table signing the Warranty Deed for the Land Donated to the American Legion. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to sign Resolution 2026-22 Amending Resolution 2026-1 Mileage Rate to .76 a mile. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the Updated Musselshell County Sheriff’s Office Policy Manual submitted by Sheriff Lesnik. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley attended the Republican meeting on Thursday August 6, 2026.
Treasurer Hetrick and Department of Revenues Sophia Branch met with the Commissioners to go over the 2026 Taxable values and the July 2026 Cash Reconciliation report.
County Agent Cooley gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. The 4H Sale went very well. He would like to take some of the kids that participated to Kilby Butte to watch the processing of animals. Mr. Cooley would like to do a food preservation class the beginning of September. HR issue.
DES Director Russell gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. Coordinator Rook was doing field audits for the new GIS mapping program in Roundup. There were 13 office visits this week, 16 phone calls, 3 new addresses1 call for service (vehicle fire on Sunshine Road). They have been allocated 10 staffed stations this year by the State for fire watches.
Dispatch Director Ramsey met with the Commissioners with an HR issue.
Sheriff Lesnik met with the Commissioners with an HR issue.
