How to Register for CodeRED Alerts Online

It’s simple and quick to enroll. Just follow the steps below.

You can also text MUSSELSHELL to 99411 to receive a direct link to the enrollment form on your mobile device.

Select Managed Account Preference

Creating a managed account allows you to modify your existing notification settings and contact information later.

Below are your account options:

  1. Single Sign-On Account

To create a single sign-on account:

  • Click the button next to “Yes”
  • Select the credentials you would like to use:
    • Google
    • Facebook
    • Twitter

You will be prompted to log into your account to permit access.

  1. Managed Account

To create a managed account:

  • Click the button next to “Yes”
  • Create a username and password

Please record this information for future use.

Requirements:

  • Username: 6 characters or more
  • Password: 8 characters or more
  1. Non-Managed Account

If you choose a non-managed account:

  • You will not be able to create an account later within the form
  • You will not have the ability to log back in and update your contact information at a later date

Contact Information

Contact Address and Communication Methods

Fill out your information and identify whether the address is:

  • A business address
  • A home address

You will also have the option to add more locations later in the form.

Phones

Be sure to include:

  • Area code
  • Full telephone number

To receive text messages:

  • Check the “Send text messages” box
  • Select your mobile provider from the dropdown menu

If your provider is not listed, select “Other.”

Notification Options:

  • Check the box for “General Notifications” if you wish to receive community alerts
  • Emergency Notifications cannot be opted out of
  • Public safety agencies determine what constitutes an emergency and issue notifications accordingly

Optional Weather Notifications:

  • Check the weather notification box(es) if available on your account
  • If you do not see this option, skip this step

You may register more than one phone number by clicking:

  • “+ Add phone”

Emails (Optional)

To receive emails:

  • Click “+ Add email”
  • Enter your email address

You will then select:

  • The types of alerts you wish to receive
  • Optional weather warnings you wish to receive by email

Terms and Conditions

You must check the box agreeing to the Terms and Conditions in order to continue.

Data Privacy

Check the box if you would like to keep your information private.

Verify Information

Press the button to verify your information.

Confirmation Screen

Once registration is completed:

  • You will receive a confirmation email (managed accounts only)
  • The email will contain:
    • Your account details
    • Information regarding the CodeRED Mobile Alert app

Additional Information:

  • Caller ID — Add the listed numbers to your phone’s contact list
  • CodeRED Mobile Alert App — Download the free app to receive safety notifications while traveling and stay informed
