The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Pancratz. Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley were present.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve the agenda as is. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the March 13, 2026, meetings minutes after removing Commissioner Goffena attended the Refuse meeting. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion as amended. Motion carried.
Norma Trent entered the meeting.
Floyd Fisher with the Refuse came in with an HR issue.
Public Comment on Resolution 2026-9 A resolution authorizing and approving the sale of a certain parcel of real property known as the Wier Building, 215 Main Street, Roundup, Montana, and more particularly described as the Roundup Original Townsite, S13, T08 N, R25 E, Lots 8, 9, 10, 11 and the South 18.5 feet of Lot 7, Block 17 in the City of Roundup, Musselshell County, Montana for the purpose of economic development and historic preservation in accordance with the development objectives of Musselshell County and providing for an effective date herein. Commissioner Goffena made the motion to table because we are waiting on a 2nd lawyer response. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to table reviewing and signing Ordinance 2026-1, An Ordinance for Community Development of Government Owned Property. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
County Agent Cooley gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. There is a Leaders Training this weekend. He is working on a grant for Hawk Creek VFD. There is a Fair Board meeting March 24, 2026. On the 23rd of April they are having a Care Givers respite put on by MSU. He has been working on Fair planning and 4H planning.
Frank Kelly, Post 18 American Legion Commander came in to discuss a land use agreement with the County.
County Attorney Todd-Rogers joined the meeting.
Jeremy House joined the meeting.
Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. There is 1 inmate. The Federal Case inmates have pled guilty.
County Attorney Todd-Roger had a call about Gibbtown Road.
DES Director Russell and Coordinator Rook gave their weekly report to the Commissioners. There were 53 office visits this week. 48 phone calls, 4 Burn permits/renewals. There were 3 calls for service, Quail Drive Burn pile issue, follow-up Quail Drive burn pile issue and a structure fire at 22 Riverside. 4 meetings were attended. They have removed the air-conditioning from the Busy Bee and demolition is moving forward.
Treasurer Hetrick met with the Commissioners to give them the February balances. There are 3 properties coming up for Tax Deed. The Sheriff sent out 31 letters for mobile home taxes.
County Attorney Todd-Rogers spoke with the Commissioners about the County owned property East of town.
Ambulance Director Solberg met with the Commissioners with an HR issue.
Gordon Kesler with Champion Pride Insurance met with the Commissioners regarding Colonial Life for County Employees.
Fairgrounds Coordinator Tatman gave her weekly report to the Commissioners. Ms. Tatman submitted a proposal from Double Angel Tree Surgery for the remaining trees that need attention at the fairgrounds. They are going to start working on getting jersey barriers, railroad ties and picknick tables. The rodeo people would like to get a Conex container for storage.
Public comment:
Daniel Jenkins from Klien was present and asked the Commissioners about possibly putting signed saying” no motorized vehicles” at the “K” in Klien that is County owned property. There are people with 4 wheelers that are tearing up the property. The Commissioners will look into it.

March 23, 2026 Road Department meeting.
Commissioner Goffena, Commissioner Turley, Commissioner Pancratz (via Teams) Road and Bridge Supervisor Stockert and Secretary Randall were present. Currently they will not be hiring a part-time employee. They will be advertising the proposed gravel pit for another week. They are hoping to purchase a stacker belt and skid steer once they get the crusher.
