The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Turley was present.
Theresa Doumitt and Norma Trent were present.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve the agenda for the day. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Pancratz attended the Fair Board meeting Tuesday May 5, 2026. Good things are happening.
Wednesday May 6, 2026, all Commissioners were on the radio, did claims and had their Wier Building update with Theresa Doumitt.
The evening of May 6, 2026, at 5:30, there was a Public Hearing for the sale of the Wier Building. All Commissioners and Theresa Doumitt were present. Travis Corey was also present.
Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley attended the Republican Party Candidate Forum on Thursday May 7, 2026. There is a lot of misinformation being spread around regarding Musselshell County and the Commissioners.,
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to table the Public Comment on Resolution 2026-9 A resolution authorizing and approving the sale of a certain parcel of real property known as the Wier Building, 215 Main Street, Roundup, Montana, and more particularly described as the Roundup Original Townsite, S13, T08 N, R25 E, Lots 8, 9, 10, 11 and the South 18.5 feet of Lot 7, Block 17 in the City of Roundup, Musselshell County, Montana for the purpose of economic development and historic preservation in accordance with the development objectives of Musselshell County and providing for an effective date herein. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Theresa Doumitt mentioned the new playground at the Old School is set to open at 9:30. Everything looks great. Good work to everyone involved in the project that has been 5 years in the making.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to table the Interagency Agreement
between the Office of the Court Administrator, the 14th Judicial District and
Musselshell County. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to remove item #2 for the agenda because it
was already signed. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to table signing Work Order #12 General
Service Agreement for the Industrial Park Subdivision Permitting submitted by
WWC Engineering. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to sign Resolution 2026-13 Ordering the
Cancellation of Personal/Mobile Home/Real Estate Property Taxes submitted by
Treasurer Hetrick. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Denise Miller with the Senior Services (MCSS) gave her report to the Commissioners. They are struggling to get volunteers. She has been working on new policy and procedures for volunteers, job descriptions for volunteers and rental agreement contracts.
John Albert met with the Commissioners regarding the toilets in Handel Park in Musselshell. They have someone coming to clean them out Tuesday May 12, 2026.
County Agent Cooley gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. He will be applying for a Musselshell Valley Community Foundation grant for pig pens at the fairgrounds. The Intern will be starting the beginning of June. There has been dog and horse training going on. The Ranch Rodeo went well. There were 25 teams. The Conservation Field Day will be at the end of June. The Amish horse sale is also at the end of June. Mr. Cooley is working on a new 4H family orientation.
Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Petroleum County for Sheriff services was discussed. They are getting quotes for Starlink. He is concerned about how many people will be at the R.I.D.E. concerts this year. They need to start discussing the Contract with the City again.
DES Director Russell and Coordinator Rook gave their weekly report to the Commissioners. There were 33 office visits, 20 phone calls, 3 new addresses, 1 call for service (Old Divide Road Vehicle/Wildland fire), 3 meeting attended.
CHW Littrell gave his update to the Commissioners. He is working on his budget for 2026-2027 FY. His priorities are making the community aware of the program and services available. He is currently working with the hospital, schools and doing tabling events at the Market on Main. He has had 5 contacts since taking over the Community Health Program.
Public Comment:
Tom Bruner with Solid Ground MMA came into request the use of Mills fields for an MMA fight on July 2nd. He will provide insurance for the event and have alcohol catered. The fight is a benefit for Connie Perkins, and a donation will be made to the baseball program. The Commissioners gave approval.
Connie Roussan came into discuss the need for funding a grant writer for the public sewer system in Melstone. The project projection cost is 5 million dollars with an anticipated start date 2028 and will take 5 years to complete. The Commission recommended the board contact Sara Hudson at Snowy Mountain Development.
